Lots of Birthday Fun!

This year Parker told me he didn't like cake and didn't want one for his birthday.

Then he changed his mind and said that he actually liked three kinds of cake; ice cream cake, carrot cake and cheesecake. Well boy did he luck out and managed to get all three!!
First for our family party he got to pick out a yummy banana split ice cream cake. (We were also celebrating my sisters birthday and she wanted me to highlight her hair, to bad it turned out orange!)

Then came the carrot cake for his friend birthday (which was from Macey's and was actually pretty good). For his friend birthday this year I wanted to keep things simple and just take our kids and some of Parker's close friends swimming.

Well there were so many friends who just couldn't be left out that we ended up taking two van loads of kids swimming and it didn't turn out very simple at all, but it sure was fun! Parker has some awesome friends who gave him lots of cool presents and more money than he's ever gotten from a birthday before!

According to everyone in the family, this was the best birthday party ever! Then on his real birthday two days after the party we made him a special birthday dinner (salmon his favorite!) and for dessert we had, yup you guessed it, cheesecake!!! Triple birthday blast! Happy 9th Birthday buddy!
