Wow we have had so many firsts this year with Parker turning eight. Now he is in Cub Scouts and loving it! This months Pack Meeting was the Pinewood Derby. Parker was very excited about it even thought he didn't really know what it was, he just thought it was cool that he would get to race a car. But the one who really got the derby spirit was of course Preston. His competitive side got the best of him and when I sent him to the scout store for weights he came back with $30 worth of stuff to make Parker's car one of the fastest! Well all the sanding, weighing and graphite paid off when Parker's car won the first three races he was in. He took third place overall and one of his best friends, who is also a new scout, took first place overall.
Way to go boys (and dads)!

aww he is so cute in his cub scout uniform. And you can't beat pinewood derbying.. fun fun.
