Our Anniversary

Okay, so I'm a little late on this one. Our 9th anniversary was last week on the 9th. Pretty cool huh, we were married on 9-9-99 and we just had our 9th anniversary! We didn't celebrate it until this last weekend though. It was so good to just go and get away from everything and have some no stress couple time! Preston even planned a romantic drive up the canyon and over to Park City. But since we ran into an old friend at dinner (Jared Broderick) and then had to back track because we forgot to tip the waiter, we ended up a little behind. So by the time we got to the look out by Brighton Ski Resort it was pretty much dark and there was only a tiny sliver of pink on the horizon. It was still fun though, we got a little lost trying to find our condo but it just doesn't matter when you don't have whining kids in the back seat! Then Saturday we went and did sealings in the Salt Lake Temple, what was funny is that there were two other couples that joined us who were also celebrating their anniversary. So it was good to get a break since we really only get one once a year. I think it is so important for couples to get away from the kids once in awhile! You just can't take care of the kids and other things in life as well if you don't take care of yourselves. Oh, and thank you so much to mom and dad for taking the three older kids, and to Melissa and Steve for taking the baby. Especially to Melissa who had to put up with feeding Jaiden every three hours all through the night!
