Well our little girl started kindergarten today. I wasn't sure what to expect, she is usually very shy and I didn't know how she would react to everything. On the way to school I asked her if she was excited and she said "Oh yeah, I forgot to look like this" and she gave me a big smile. It was so funny! Then I walked her into her classroom and everyone was going to the playground. At first she said she might be shy, then changed her mind and said she wouldn't be shy. So I told her to go play and she was gone, just like that she took off and didn't even give me a second look. I couldn't believe it, my shy little girl was gone. As I left I saw other kids cowering behind their parents looking very fearful. I was so surprised that Kierra wasn't one of them, it almost made me cry. My sweet little princess who has hardly left my side for five years didn't need me anymore. I know she still will though, and I am glad that it wasn't a fight and that she is adjusting very well. So when I went to pick her up I asked her how she liked kindergarten, and her only response was "It was boring". I'm not sure what she expected, but I guess it just didn't live up to all the hype! Now what was really cute was all the parents as they dropped them off and snapped a few pictures on the playground, and the huge crowd eagerly awaiting the end of school. One mom walked out and said "now who is going to take a picture of all the parents, that is too cute!" So it is hard to let them go, but fun to see them grow. And it was really nice to have such a quite afternoon!!!
Thanks for visiting, just beware, our animals are so cute you might have to come again and again!

AWWWW. Yay for you! It's just the beginning of school until they're 18. I was thinking that it's odd the Kierra and Brendan aren't different in age by much, but Brendan will be one grade behind her. I wonder if that will stop her from dating him ?
